Wondering if Home Organizing is for you? Please review Sherry’s frequently asked questions about Home Organizing services below.
What if the final day doesn’t take 4 hours?
How does the organizing process work?
First we will need to determine what your goals are and where to begin. I will assist you through the decision making of purging items and facilitate the sorting process.
After the items are sorted this is when a determination is usually made if supplies are needed to house the newly sorted items. Once the necessary organizing supplies are ready for utilization the items that have been sorted will be organized into their new homes.
Do I have to be involved?
Yes, if there are items to be sorted or purged. They are your items and I will assist you in the decision making process and sorting to facilitate the job but I cannot determine whose items in a family belong to whom and what is to be purged, etc.
However there are times when the sorting and purging has been done and what is left is to put the items away in an organized manner. It is possible for a client to opt out of that process if they prefer and leave the final organizing to me.
Why do I have to work in blocks of time?
Through the years I have found that not allowing enough time is not productive as it only allows time to get started and quickly stop. Likewise after a 4 hour time session, much is accomplished and often a good breaking point after a client has been making decisions on items.
How long will this take?
It is difficult to determine in advance the amount of time an organizing project may take since there are variables unique to each situation, such as the amount of items to be sorted and organized as well as the client’s input and decision making ability can either expedite or delay a project.
