Wondering if a Home Makeover is for you? Please review Sherry’s frequently asked questions about Home Makeover services below.
Are any projects too small for you to do?
What if my project involves larger scale items such as painting, new flooring or carpentry work?
I am happy to bring in any of the trusted contractors I work with to estimate your project. I will then submit to you a proposal for the work so you can decide if you would like to proceed or not.
What if I don’t want to shop for items?
I will source the items, bring to you pictures & pricing, or fabric samples, or small accessories that you can choose from that will work within the parameters of the design of the room so you are not starting with the entire universe of selections but a few selections that will work and are of your choosing.
What if I want to purchase some new items but I’m unsure of myself. Will you help me shop?
Yes, I’m happy to meet with you to help guide you through your purchases for your rooms. This is often for the client who has an idea of what they wanted to purchase but needs reassurance that the purchase will work.
What can I expect from my two-hour consultation?
This may vary according to client and the scope of the project(s). However typically it begins as a fact-finding mission. I need to understand what you are looking to accomplish in your home as a whole and also room by room. Do you want to work only with what you have or would you like to replace some furnishings with new pieces? Are you looking to update any permanent features to the room? It’s also important to know from the beginning the scope of your anticipated goals so that tasks are prioritized and handled in the appropriate logical order. It’s also the time to get an understanding of your color and style preferences. This is an interactive time and I am happy to share any ideas or thoughts I may have to help you from this point on also. This is when our organized and prioritized list of goals comes together. If time permits and there are small tasks we can move forward on, such as color consultations, or rearranging any furniture or accessories I am happy to do so.
